Blogging…

You’d think that with the amount of time I spend on the internet each day, I’d be blogging like crazy. And when Bill asked me to start one for the internship I thought it’d be easy-peazy. Not so much…

I spend 8 hours a day coming up with ideas for other people’s blogs, doing research on the internet, working on other people’s social media sites, and just reading blogs that by the time I get home it’s the last thing on my mind. I’d rather sit down in front of the TV (sad, I know) or make a delicious meal, or even…sometimes….clean and do some laundry.  I worry that I spend way too much time in front of a computer each day that I’ll either go blind ( I should probably invest in a good pair of glasses just in case) or become an anti-social hermit (thankfully, Mashable killed that urban myth).

Anyway, I know Bill wrote a post about re-committing to his blog and this is my official re-commitment as well. If you are having trouble committing to writing blog posts I think it helps (if you have a calendar) to mark down certain dates that the posts have to be written. It helps me visually see that I need to write a post instead of me constantly mentally reminding myself to do it and then putting it on the back burner. Also, once I’ve completed the task it feels good to be able to cross it of the list. So today, I’m writing out a schedule for my blog posts. Hopefully, I can practice what I preach.

If you notice that I’m slacking on the posts, I’m giving you all permission to yell at me via twitter. :]

Looking forward to future posts! How many do you plan to do each week?

I’m going to say 2; one snack, one meal. Just because it’s about to get busy with the holidays. After the New Year I’ll up it to 3 posts.

        Sounds like a great plan.
